Marcavan Dazlin Song - My Beautiful Big Boy "Bayley"
We chose the puppy that showed no interest in us at all. This little puppy was so busy exploring everything around him, he nearly fell into a hole in the ground and from that moment on he stole our heart.
Marcavan Dazlin Song (Bayley) is a very intelligent boy – far too intelligent for his own good at times, and he is a sensible mature dog and has been the apple of my eye from a very early age.
Bayley was not, in Maryanne’s opinion, show quality, but that did not bother us - he was our pet and I had no interest in showing or breeding. Bayley was predicted to grow too big for the standard, and he had a cows lick right between the eyes and growing as a ridge up and over the crown of his head. But you know he was the most perfect addition to our family and the start of our love affair with the Cavalier breed.
Bayley is the most loving, loyal and affectionate dog to be found. He is certainly the alpha male in our house, and like all true alpha males he does not need to be aggressive in order to assert his dominance. He leads by example in everything he does. He shows the puppies what to do by being big Uncle Bayley. He is gentle with them, communicating his wishes and their lessons in the most unaggressive manner. He is obedient and as I mentioned earlier, very clever. He can be naughty, please do not misunderstand the difference between being naughty and being disobedient; but him being naughty is still pretty harmless and he is easily pulled into line when he realises he is not the boss of me.
